The international trading environment is changing to align with the approach being taken by the Customs Authorities to manage and control the ‘end-to-end' supply chain instead of only focusing on the importing activities and then separately on the exporting activities.
As the move towards managing the ‘end-to-end' supply chain becomes more mature the industry is moving towards looking at the international supply chain holistically and in totality. This approach is in line with the way that GTS has been developed and enhances the ability to provide companies with a total software and service offering.
Below illustrates the way that Customs Authorities worldwide are now viewing the supply chain and import and export activities. The new ‘end-to-end’ approach combined with the Approved Economic Operator (AEO) initiatives being pivotal in the way Customs Authorities want to manage the traders, creates major opportunities for our existing and new clients.
The move towards Blockchain technology and the associated smart contract also opens a whole new world of opportunities both from a trade and customs perspective.
